1. What this notice covers
This notice covers the software downloads provided on this site, including the Decor Sounds add-on, desktop Studio and updates. Read it before downloading or using them. Cloud account and sharing rules, and information about personal data, are in the cloud terms and privacy notice.
Any software licences and third-party notices included with a download continue to apply. This notice does not replace those licences or grant rights to third-party recordings, artwork, names or services.
2. Backups and local changes
Studio can create, convert, register, replace and remove files in the library you choose. The add-on saves assignments and builds, and some actions replace earlier settings. Make independent backups before installing, updating, restoring, loading builds or deleting content. Review the selected folder, account, house and replacement options before continuing.
Recovery snapshots and app backups can help but are not a guarantee that lost or overwritten work can be recovered. Uninstalling the desktop program does not necessarily remove its data or your credentials.
3. Compatibility and availability
The software is under active development. Features can contain errors or change, and game, operating-system or third-party service updates may break compatibility. No promise is made that every build will work on every computer, WoW client or house, or that the cloud or any external service will remain available.
The add-on is not a live audio streaming service. Visitors need their own local setup and sounds. Source verification checks reported metadata; it does not guarantee ownership of all rights in a recording or permanent availability of that recording.
4. Your content and accounts
Use, import and share only material for which you have the necessary rights and permissions. A CC0 label, source link or automated check does not resolve every possible copyright, privacy, publicity or other third-party claim. Follow applicable law and the terms of WoW, Freesound and other services you use.
Keep passwords, API keys and Studio access tokens private. Use only accounts and libraries you are authorised to access. Revoke exposed tokens and report suspected misuse. Do not upload secrets, malicious content or another person’s private information in a build name, description or report.
5. Third-party tools and links
FFmpeg, ffprobe, WebView2, Freesound and other external tools or services have their own licences, terms and privacy practices. Their inclusion or mention does not imply endorsement or a guarantee. Follow the source and licence information provided with recordings and review external download pages before installing software.
World of Warcraft and Blizzard names and related game imagery belong to their respective rights holders. Decor Sounds is an independent community project, not an official Blizzard product. No game-account outcome or approval by a third party is guaranteed.
6. Warranty disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the software and services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. The operator and contributors do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure operation.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator and contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including loss of data, saved configurations, profits or business opportunities, arising from use of or inability to use the software or services.
Nothing in this notice excludes or limits rights, remedies, warranties or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including any mandatory consumer protections or liability for fraud or other conduct for which such restrictions are prohibited. Where a restriction is not permitted, it applies only to the extent the law allows. This notice does not require you to waive non-waivable legal rights.
8. Updates and contact
Review the notice and release notes when downloading a new version. Changes to this notice are identified by its version date. Keep a copy of the notice accompanying your download for your records.
For support, a rights concern or a problem with a download, contact the site operator using the contact shown in the site’s privacy notice. Include the version, steps to reproduce and relevant error messages, without passwords or access tokens.
